About Powder-Coated Finishes

The VistaLuxe Collection AL LINE offers sophisticated finishes that enhance the lifelong beauty of your windows and doors. Powder-coated finishes are available for the protection of the aluminum as well as for an attractive design aesthetic. In the process of powder coating, the aluminum is first degreased and cleaned. A colored powder is then sprayed onto the statically charged profiles. These profiles are subsequently baked in ovens, allowing the powder to melt together into a stable and high quality finish of the aluminum.

Notes

Powder coating is an environmentally friendly way to paint windows and doors without producing VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). It is highly resistant to UV rays, rust and rot, and meets AAMA 2604 performance specifications.

Finish colors may vary from on-screen images. Please make selections using actual color samples available from your local Kolbe dealer.

About VistaLuxe® AL LINE Material & Construction

VistaLuxe AL LINE products are aluminum on the exterior and interior, separated by fiber reinforced polyamide strips. The aluminum is made with a high percentage of recycled content and has a long lifespan, while the thermally broken construction creates energy efficiency. Square profiles create clean lines and stylish functionality.

About Performance Divided Lites

With Kolbe’s performance divided lite (PDL)* glazing system, aluminum bars are adhered to the exterior and interior of the single lite of insulating glass. Spacer bars are installed within the insulating glass unit, helping create the illusion of true divided lites (TDL), without sacrificing energy efficiency. The internal bars do not hinder the flow of air or argon, so the space acts as a thermal break, making PDL more energy efficient than TDL. 

VistaLuxe AL LINE units are shipped with the glass "loose" for installation on the job site. Therefore, when PDL bars are requested, they are installed within the insulating glass units provided and 1-1/4" wide, square profile interior and exterior PDL bars are supplied "loose," for application on the job site after the units are glazed. Bars are finished to match the exterior and/or interior, as requested.

About Lift & Slide Door Sills

Lift & slide doors are available with three sill options to fulfill the requirements of various configurations. The standard threshold is available for 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-track systems. The zero threshold is also available for 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-track systems, and provides a seamless transition from interior to exterior with zero grade change. The flat threshold is available for non-pocketing 2-track systems, and has a slim profile that is optimal for any space. All sill options include exterior drainage systems.
