2026 marks the 80th year in business for Kolbe Windows & Doors. Our company remains family-owned and rooted in Wisconsin even as we have grown into a leading national manufacturer of premium windows and doors.
To commemorate this milestone, we are launching “80 Acts of Kindness,” a yearlong initiative encouraging our Team Members across all locations to support their communities through meaningful acts, large and small. The program reflects the philosophy that has shaped Kolbe for eight decades.

These values continue to drive every decision we make today,” said Jeff De Lonay, president of Kolbe Windows & Doors. “Each day, our team members carry on the family-oriented, customer-focused culture instilled by the founders of this organization.”
Kolbe was founded in 1946 by brothers Herb and Ervin Kolbe who started repairing and building wood storm windows out of the washhouse on their Wisconsin family dairy farm. From this modest beginning, the business thrived and expanded. Today, we employ approximately 950 people and operate three locations across Wisconsin and Arizona. Our made-to-order windows and doors appear in distinctive homes, multi-family communities, commercial buildings and historic campuses across North America.
In the recent years leading up to this milestone, we have taken exciting steps forward as a company by fostering new industry partnerships, expanding energy efficiency tactics, launching extensive employee resources, and researching innovative product options. Each of these transformations is fueled by the passion of our Team Members.
“Our future is built on the foundation of our past,” De Lonay said. “We will continue to invest in our people, listen to our customers and push what’s possible in window and door design. If the next 80 years look anything like the last, we’re in very good hands.”
